LT I Kickoff Overnight Retreat 10/6-10/7 READ MORE....

The Leadership Teacher Overnight Retreat will be held at the Barbara C. Harris Center in Greenfield, NH from 12:00 pm, Thursday, October 6th to 4:00 pm, Friday, October 7th. Check in will be from 12:00-1:00pm on Thursday afternoon. The program will start promptly at 1:00pm. (Below are directions to the Conference Center from various starting points.)

Please wait to unload your luggage until after you have checked in at the main lodge and received your cabin assignment. You will be able to drive to your cabin to drop off your luggage; however, you will need to return your car to the main parking lot for the duration of the program.

All costs for the retreat are covered by your tuition.

Most of your meals will be provided; however:
1) Please bring a bag lunch with you on Thursday to eat after you’ve checked in. Our first Retreat meal will be a light snack on Thursday afternoon and then dinner on Thursday night at 5:30pm.

2) On Thursday evening we will have a POT LUCK DESSERT AFTER DINNER SOCIAL HOUR at 8:30pm in the main lodge, so please bring drinks (soda, beer, wine) and munchies (cheese, crackers, sweets) for everyone to share. This will be a great opportunity to just relax and network with peers from across the region!

**NOTE: If you have any special food requirements or restrictions, including vegetarian only diet, please contact Dana Levy (dlevy@babson.edu) immediately so that we can accommodate you.

The dress code for the weekend is casual and comfortable as the focus during these two days will be on team building. You will enjoy the rustic setting of the Barbara C. Harris Center located on Otter Lake and, rain or shine, will also find yourself out on the low ropes course Friday morning enjoying the myriad activities the camp’s professional facilitators have planned for this retreat. As a ropes’ course facilitator once said, “There is no such thing as bad weather, only people who come unprepared!” So please remember to bring layers and appropriate clothes and footwear, in case of “bad” weather.

You will also need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets, a blanket, towels, a water bottle, and toiletries. (Please see the more detailed listing below). Participants will be sharing rooms and bathrooms. The cabins are all newly built with interior bathrooms and each cabin has five sets of bunk beds. Each cabin also has two full bathrooms. The setting is upscale rustic, but very clean, comfortable, and warm. We will be walking around the Center's campus so bring comfortable shoes.

Cabins are not equipped with phones; however, there is a general camp phone (see directions below) and if family members need to reach you they can call that number and leave a message. The camp director will be checking for messages periodically throughout the retreat.

The retreat will end at approximately 4:00 pm on Friday afternoon. We look forward to a busy weekend of networking, team building, and personal reflection! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
