“The Bio-Tech workshop at St. Joseph’s Hospital provided a fascinating look at the many topics and components of the competitive healthcare field including:
• the business and human side of providing healthcare to a large community
• the rapid development and change in healthcare technologies and education
• job opportunities in the medical, professional, clerical and support staffs
• managing data, i.e., business, patient, radiological
• hiring and keeping good employees.
It was a very interesting and informative day, highlighted by the radiology department tour.”
- Tom Putney, Technical Education Department Chair, Merrimack High School

“Even though I teach English, the biotech day ended up being one of the more fascinating and educational days I experienced while participating in the Leadership Teacher program. I learned so much about the seemingly limitless opportunities in the healthcare field and have helped expose many of my students to those career possibilities.”
- Naomi Halvorson, English Teacher, Merrimack High School
