Dr. Terry Sharrer to Speak at LT Retreat

Dr. Terry Sharrer, Curator for the Smithsonian's Division of Science, Medicine, and Society, will be the keynote speaker for LT's kickoff retreat for the 2004-2005 year. Dr. Sharrer is going to talk about "The Meaning of the Genome" and how the individuality of disease has influenced society. Dr. Sharrer's research specialties include the history of agricultural sciences, particularly plant pathology and veterinary medicine and the history of molecular and gene transfer.
